PRODUCT
We keep a vast range of products in stock and are
able to provide all the components you need to complete the installation from
start to finish. The majority of orders from our customers are delivered on
a next day basis. With larger systems including pumps and tanks we personally
deliver the product direct to site.
Customers are not required to purchase large amounts of stock, in fact most
of our customers buy enough product for one system at a time. This not only
simplifies job costing and management but ensures the installation team has
all the products for the project delivered to site in one go, avoiding costly
standing time.
We can supply quality products from a wide range of manufacturers, our standard
stock items are from Rain Bird, Netafim, Plasson and Plasson Agrifit, Galcon,
Palaplast, Balmoral, Carbery Tanks, Grundfos, Dab, Amiad and Nocchi.
We also have accounts with Oase Commercial, Otterbine, Hunter, Toro, Nelson,
Titan, Harlequin, Paxton, Naan, Dan, Espa and Lowara to name but a few.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
At our base in Wiltshire, LWS shares its premises with our parent company
M J Abbott Limited. As a group this results in the UK’s largest irrigation
company with over 100 employees. You may think that size might compromise
quality but as winners of the BTLIA (British Turf & Landscape Irrigation
Association) Certificate of Merit six times in the last seven years the company
sets the benchmark for the rest of the irrigation industry.
As a result LWS is able to draw upon extensive resources, with in-house facilities
for CAD design and plotting, water and pump engineering, electrical control
panel manufacturing and a vast library of technical data. If you need technical
advice do not hesitate to call LWS, the following are just a few of the services
we offer to our customers:
• Cable sizing
• Pump Specification
• Custom
panel building
• Product
identification (got a strange fitting, valve or pump, just email a picture)
• Specifiying
sprinklers for particular applications
• Sourcing
specialist fittings and equipment
• Troubleshooting
(control systems, electrical, pumpsets, valves etc.)
Sometimes you could just do with discussing a project or product to get some
technical feedback or advice, please call the team at LWS.

LWS undertakes its own promotional activities to highlight Rain Bird products
and the professional installation by our customers (we will refer projects
to you).
• We have
exhibited at the BBC Gardeners World Show, GLEE, Landscape 99 and Saltex.
We have provided systems at the Chelsea Flower Show and been featured twice
on the BBC Homefront in the Garden programme. Our objective is to highlight
garden irrigation and generate as many enquiries for the installation ‘network’
as possible.
• We employ
a PR company who send out regular press releases and photography to all Gardening
and Horticulture related magazines (consumer and trade).
• We undertake
advertising in a wide range of publications which has included Horticulture
Week, Landscape Review, The Garden Design Journal, the Landscaper, The Garden,
The UKIA Newsletter and several buyers guides. This raises awareness amongst
the trade and public and helps to strengthen our customer base.
• We retain
a professional company that hosts and promotes the site and the response from
the site from trade and public enquiries is growing day by day.
• As members
of BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries) we actively promote
irrigation to the landscape trade and have sponsored the National BALI Landscape
Awards.
Promotional Material
Probably the most important aspect of our promotional support is providing
you with quality product literature. A selection of leaflets, brochures and
tech sheets that companies can use to promote their business is available
free of charge.
We recognise that a substantial amount of your new business is won by recommendation
so we are keen to ensure you have the materials you need to impress your customers.
